🏁 Friday Finish Line 🏁
Eat Well 🍎
Hunger Strikes Back 🍽
Ever skip lunch and find yourself starving by evening, eyeing everything edible in sight? We've all experienced that. Stay proactive by preparing easy-to-grab protein snacks.
Fuel, Not Filler 🥑
Remember the last time you snacked throughout the day but still felt unsatisfied? Not all calories are created equal. Choose foods that nourish and energize you, and leave behind the empty fillers.
Run Well 👟
Find Your Flow 🌊
Ever noticed how the first mile can feel like running through quicksand, but then suddenly you're gliding effortlessly? Trust the process—your body knows how to find its rhythm. Give yourself time to settle in and discover your flow.
Celebrate Small Wins 🏅
Not every run feels like a personal best, and that's perfectly okay. Each run lays the groundwork for your next great performance. Acknowledge and celebrate even the smallest victories; they are stepping stones toward your larger goals.
Live Well 🌟
Rest is Training 💤
Ever feel guilty about taking a rest day? Let's reframe that: rest is when growth happens. Your muscles rebuild, your energy replenishes, and your motivation returns. Respect rest as an essential part of training.
The Rule of Three 📋
Feeling swamped by your endless task list? Consider picking just three essential things to concentrate on each day. Three tasks seem manageable and attainable: providing clarity, lowering stress, and enhancing productivity.
A Quote to Live By 💫
“Success isn't about how far you got, but the distance you traveled from where you started.” – Steve Prefontaine.
PS: I'm a little over a week out from the LA Marathon—the first since rupturing my Achilles. My emotions right now are complicated (not unusual). Self-doubt mixed with anticipation and fear, but mostly hope for a good day and a successful return.
